• COVID-19 RNA PCR Saliva Test suitable for travel and events

The COVID-19 RT-PCR saliva test meets the highest standards for the molecular biological detection of SARS-CoV-2.

    • If ordered before 3 p.m. (Saturday before 10 a.m.) you will receive the test kit on the next working day
    • The test is carried out by simple saliva collection at home or at the workplace
    • The test is sent to the laboratory in a pre-paid envelope by A-Mail
    • The analysis is carried out Monday-Saturday, the result is usually available on the same day as the sample is received
    • The laboratory notifies you by SMS and email immediately after the result is available
    • In the event of a negative test result, you will receive a QR code for the Swiss COVID certificate with the test result
    • Depending on the requirements of the airline or the country of entry, the test is usually valid for 48 to 72 hours from the time of saliva collection

  • Identity check and video evidence

In order to comply with the latest requirements, you will need to complete an online identity check and video recording of the entire sample collection process (approx.10-15 minutes) when collecting your sample in order to receive your result:

    • Please ensure that you record the entire sample collection procedure up to the packaging of the sample tube in the SafetyBag and in the shipping envelope completely with your smartphone or computer camera as video evidence. The shipping envelope must be visibly sealed on the video. Without video evidence, your sample cannot be evaluated and no certificate can be issued.
    • Have a valid identity card ready, the front and back of which they must photograph and upload. Passport, identity card and driver's licence are accepted.
  • COVID-19 RNA RT-PCR Test

The COVID-19 saliva test meets the highest standards for molecular detection of SARS-CoV-2. It is a real-time RT-PCR that is accepted as the highest standard in all countries.

    • The test detects the N1 gene of the SARS-CoV-2 virus as a target.
    • In addition, a control gene is used to check whether the sample has been gargled correctly.
    • Due to the high sensitivity, even asymptomatic virus carriers are detected.

The question of whether COVID-19 is detectable is answered by direct molecular biological detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus or its RNA components using a simple, non-invasive saliva sample. The corresponding diagnostics reliably enable the conclusion to be drawn as to whether SARS-CoV-2 is detectable in a person at the time the saliva sample is taken. This is independent of whether symptoms are present or not.

It is an easy-to-use saliva test kit for self-collection of a saliva sample at home or at work.

Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 by asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic persons has been described and also occurs during the incubation period of max. 14 days. The analysis is carried out Monday-Saturday, the result is usually available on the same day and at the latest on the following day of sample receipt.

The analysis is carried out as a non-compulsory service of the health insurance company, no reclaim vouchers are generated.

  • Why test yourself?

    • Know if you are infected or not
    • More safety when visiting or coming into contact with risk groups
    • More safety in family and work
    • Negative result required for entry into certain countries

The presence of COVID-19 can only be detected by means of a test using suitable sample material (saliva sample or nasopharyngeal swab). With so-called RT-PCR tests even asymptomatic virus carriers are detected, in contrast to the antigen tests that have been widespread up to now. Furthermore, more and more countries require a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test for entry, which is why a negative PCR laboratory result is becoming increasingly important. However, the validity of such a result depends on the entry regulations and is subject to the approval of the respective national authorities at the destination.

Positive detection of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is notifiable. In the event of a positive test result, the laboratory is legally obliged to forward the necessary data to the authorities (Federal Office of Public Health and cantonal physician). In the case of a negative test result, only the client is informed.
